    Why: The annual Lemonade Day is a day on which kids will have lemonade stands set up all over Dallas and the surrounding area to learn about being an entrepreneur. Some of the larger areas around Dallas that will have multiple stands set up are Highland Park Village and Preston Hollow Village.

    Why: Floats, live music, DJs, dance performances and a car show are among the sights to see at this parade and festival that takes place on Jefferson Boulevard in Oak Cliff. The event benefits the Oak Cliff Coalition for the Arts’ programs.

    What: 28th Annual  Multicultural Cinco de Mayo Festival

    Why: The City of Irving and DCET/Believe in Yourself, Inc., present the 28th annual celebration which includes fun events plus a health, education and job fair. Enjoy international food, fun and games for the whole family including clowns, mariachis, face painting, flower making and more. See the Little Miss Cinco de Mayo Pageant, take a Zumba class, shop the International Market, and dance to Havana NRG.

    Why: Browse among works by about 240 artists during the spring installment of this fest, which is held twice a year. You can also check out the ArtStop Children’s Area and plenty of local music. Parking and admission are free. Art works are available for purchase, as are food and beverages.     What: Plano Asia Fest

    Why: Celebrating its 13th anniversary, this festival will showcase the cultures of Asia with numerous demonstrations, performances and vendors, including Asian languages, medicine, music, fashion, martial arts, food and more. Kids activities include painting, drawing, modeling and trying out musical instruments. Foods will be available from Thailand, China, India, Japan and America.
