Why: Plano’s biggest historic Easter Egg Hunt takes place Saturday, April 15, at the Heritage Farmstead Museum. Children are invited to hunt for more than 5,000 eggs on the Museum’s Lawn and in the North Meadow. The Museum grounds will be sectioned off into age-appropriate areas so everyone, including toddlers, will have an opportunity to participate. In addition to 4 egg hunts staggered by age, there will be demonstrations allowing visitors to experience the springtime excitement involving our sheep. Shearing, wool skirting, carding, washing, dyeing, spinning and weaving will be showcased. Concessions, face painting, wagon rides, a children’s craft, house tours, exhibits and historical activities will be part of the fun until 2pm.
Children are encouraged to bring their own Easter baskets.

Bring a picnic basket and blanket for an afternoon of festivities including the famed Lee Park Pooch Parade sponsored by Kroger, live music from The Gypsy Playboys and DJ Jen Miller, an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny and food trucks. At 2 pm, the Lee Park Pooch Parade meanders down Turtle Creek Boulevard with winners selected by a panel of celebrity judges. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Group, Most Creative and Best Easter Inspired Outfit.
