In order to make room for the 2017 models, financing options and aggressive pricing will be part of the expo. The United Boat Dealers of North Texas produce the Boat Expo to support the boating and marine industry in the greater North Texas area and to educate boaters on safety and nautical innovations.

    Why: The annual race challenges kids and families to construct a cardboard watercraft that they will sail across Samuell Grand Pool. Teams will consist of a captain, a first mate and up to a four-person support team. Judging will be based on design/creativity, team spirit and speed.     What: North Texas Festival of Drums and Bugles presents DCI Dallas

    Where: Lake Highlands High School

    Why: Drum Corps International (DCI) returns to the stadium at Lake Highlands High School for an evening of performances by award-winning Drum & Bugle Corps from across the country. The Blue Devils, 10 time DCI World Champions from Concord, Calif., will be among the nine Corps competing at the event. Another highlight of the evening will be the Boston Crusaders featuring North Texas native Anna Eberhart, who recently won the world over with her passionate performance on keyboard caught on tape. Her video has garnered more than 3.1 million views since it was posted to Facebook on July 6.
